Well, tonight is our last night here in the Bay. This week has gone by so fast.... it's hard to believe we'll be packing up and heading home (kind of) tomorrow!
It's difficult to describe our experience this past week in a short blog writing. We have been stretched, we have been challenged, we have been encouraged, and we have had our hearts opened to a new side of the image of God that we don't usually see in Gig Harbor. And it was a beautiful image..... filled with hope in broken places, joy in places of hurt..... love and kindness in places of such loneliness. This has definitely been an experience none of us will ever forget.
We're heading out to go white water rafting tomorrow (woo hoo!), so I doubt we will have internet by the river. Thank you all so much for your prayers and encouragement this week! And when your student gets home on Monday, ask them what their "ow moment" was during this week..... their answer will be able to give you a taste of what all of us have experienced this past week!
