Christmas Party

This Wednesday we're having a Christmas party at the Ruriks. If the weather gets too nasty we'll either cancel it or move it to the church. I'll keep you updated.

Poinsettia Fundraiser!

The Poinsettia Fundraiser ends this week so we need the money turned in at youth group Wednesday night or Sunday. The plants will be here at the church in a couple weeks and you will get a call from us to come pick them up so they can be delivered.

First Youth Group of the School Year!

So school has already started and you are already missing summer, I know! This Wednesday will be our first Wednesday Ignite together so come to Harbor Cov at 7:30pm and bring some friends. 

This Wednesday is Battle of the Sexes! So be prepared for a night of fun games and competitions!

What: This Sunday is our Fall Kickoff event for High School. It is an area wide event with 4 other churches. Boating, wakeboarding, worship, BBQ, and hanging out with friends!

Our Vancouver Trip was amazing this year. The Shareholders Dessert (held on 7/30) was great to hear all the stories from the trip. To hear of how each person was impacted differently was awesome. Don't miss our mission opportunity next year!

Everything should fit in a medium sized suitcase and one carry-on, your sleeping bag can be carried separately. If you went on the mission trip last year bring your Ensenada bag with sleeping bag and pillow inside.

Summer Calendar

This summer on Wednesday nights (starting July 16) we will be hanging out to enjoy time together and encourage each other as we grow in our relationship with God and with others.
Wednesday nights will be perfect for bringing friends. BBQ, swimming, boating, games, worship, short Bible studies, boating, and more!

Just a reminder, all the Ignite Summer Nights are from 5pm-8pm, except for our first big kickoff out at Silverbow farm. That event will be from 1pm-8pm!

We are now in Chenamius, British Columbia! One quick 20 minute ferry ride and we're at Capernwray!

We left right on time this morning. Thank you parents for getting up early and getting to the church right on time!

Stuff you need for camp!

Summer Camp is upon us. Here's some things to remember:

- Notarized forms need to be turned in by Thursday. Also, registration forms, and money need to turned in. Also, bring your passport. If you don't have a passport you need your original birth certificate and a photo id.
- We are meeting at the church at 4:30am on Monday the 23rd!
- What to Bring:
Bring money for camp (snack shop) and dinner on the way back in Victoria.
Bring breakfast and sack lunch with you on Monday for while we travel.
Bring clothes for warm weather (and cool weather just in case), closed toe shoes, 1 piece swimsuit, towel, hat, sunglasses, sandals, hygiene items, bible, and pen.
Bring Pirate garb for Tuesday!
You don't need to bring a sleeping bag or pillow, bedding is provided at the camp.
Do not bring your iPod!

Summer Camp!

Summer Camp is coming up so make sure to get your registration and money in if you are planning on going.

We leave Monday June 23rd and return Friday June 27th.

You do not need a passport this year if you do not have one. A photo id and birth certificate are sufficient.

Starbucks & Worship Tonight

We're meeting at Gig Harbor North Starbucks (by Target) for some coffee and fellowship and then worship. 7:30 - 9.

RSS Reader

Many of you know that I read a lot of blog posts. I'm always talking about them etc. How do I have time to go check all these websites and see if they are updated? Simply, I don't. I use a program called Google Reader. Google Reader is free to anyone with a google account. Whenever a website, blog, ebay search, craigslist search, etc. gets posted, if I have it subscribed in my reader it automatically downloads it into my reader and I can browse through all the new posts. I know Jen Easton also uses Google Reader and between the two of us we probably browse 400 blog posts a day. But it only takes us about 20 minutes to do so (I do so over my morning cup of coffee) and I just read the posts that stand out to me.
Sounds pretty cool huh? You too can use a reader program to get all the latest blog posts from your favorite blogs.

Project Serve was a Success!

Last week we did three service projects. Thursday we went down to Chehalis to deliver furniture with Northwest Furniture Bank. Friday we helped build a Habitat for Humanity house. And Saturday we went to downtown Seattle to feed people on the street who were hungry.

We'll be posting some pictures and videos soon.

Project Serve Info!

We have three opportunities for you to get involved and help people out this week!

Thursday we are going down to Chehalis with the Lemke's and NW Furniture Bank. We will be taking truckloads of furniture and mattresses to flood victims. So eat some breakfast and bring some good shoes and gloves! The form is available here. Please meet at the church at 9am and we will be back by 5pm.

Friday we will be going to Tacoma to work on houses for Habitat for Humanity! They have a pretty hefty release form but it'll be worth it! You can find the form by clicking here. Bring some work clothes/gloves and be ready for the possibility for a little rain. Luckily that won't "damper" our spirits! (Sorry I couldn't help it.) If you haven't signed up yet, please call us and make sure we have room in a car for you! We will meet at the church at 9am and be back at 5pm. The cost is $5 and will cover transportation and lunch.

Saturday we will be meeting at the church at 9am to prepare for our trip up to Seattle. We will be feeding the homeless in Seattle and will be back by 5pm. Please bring good walking shoes and a jacket in case it rains. If you have extra clothes to donate you may bring them. Cost is $10 to cover food and transportation. For the form, click here.
