Monday Update 11/28/11

THIS WEEK:



WEDNESDAY - Praise and Worship! Come kick-off the Christmas season with us with a night of praise and worship - Christmas style! 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.

Thursday - Poinsettias arrive! If you sold poinsettias for your Summer 2012 trips, come pick them up at church on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. after school! YOU are responsible for delivering the flowers, unless the people who ordered from you specified that they would pick them up at church!

BEACH FREEZE 2012

       That's right everyone! Registration opens THIS WEDNESDAY for Beach Freeze 2012! This is a trip you WON'T want to miss! The trip will be January 13-16. Scholarships are available!

Thanksgiving Eve Movie!

Due to the funky show times for The Muppets, we will be going to see ARTHUR CHRISTMAS at 9:15 p.m. at the Galaxy Theater! Please buy your tickets beforehand, so you'll be able to come see the movie with us!

Monday Update 11/21/11

THIS WEEK:




WEDNESDAY - No youth group this week! Instead, bring your family and friends to our Thanksgiving Eve Service at 7:00 p.m., and then join us afterwards for our "Unofficial Movie Night!" Starts at about 8:30, we're hoping to go see The Muppets! (official movie to be announced). This night is "unofficial" because we just all SO happen to go see the same movie! We will not buy your tickets or plan rides for you... so plan accordingly! See you there!


Thursday - Turkey day!! Woo Hoo!!


Sunday - 9:59 classes continue! Meets upstairs first, then we'll split into our classes!






FORGETTABLE FACT: At the first Thanksgiving, the pilgrims didn't use forks; they ate with spoons, knives, and their fingers.
PARTING SHOT: Q: How can you make a turkey float? A: You need 2 scoops of ice cream, some root beer, and a turkey.

THURSDAY - L.O.G. II Weekend Retreat! Team! You need to be at church at 2:30 p.m. (or as soon as you can). LOGGERS - You need to be at church at 6:00 p.m.! See below for the packing list

SUNDAY - 9:59 classes continue! Meet upstairs first, then we'll split into our classes! Meets at 9:59 a.m.

L.O.G. II Packing List

Loggers! Please be at Harbor Covenant at 6:00 p.m. this Thursday, November 10^th!

            -Bible

            -Journal + pen/pencil

-Sleeping Bag

            - Two changes of clothes, including a sweatshirt/jacket

LOG II Weekend Retreat

            If you are part of the LOG Team, our next Team meeting is this Sunday, Novemeber 6th, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. at church! If you are a Logger, we're so excited you are coming!! We'll be getting a packing list out to you by the end of this week.

           Registration for CHIC 2012 is OPEN! Grab your sign up forms at church. This is an adventure you WON'T want to miss! If you have any questions, ask Mike or Heather.

POINSETTIA SALES

          To help fund-raise for our trip to CHIC we are selling beautiful POINSETTIAS! Go out there and sell as many as you can! If you would like to buy a few, ask Mike or Heather and we can direct you to a fund-raising student!
