Monday Update 2/27/12 & New Blog Look!
THIS WEEK:
WEDNESDAY - Our annual Winter Dessert! Come this Weds 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. to see the Beach Freeze and GAR videos, along with hearing stories about how God moved in our winter retreats this year!
SUNDAY - 9:59 classes continue! Meets upstairs at 9:59 a.m.
FORGETTABLE FACT: Think of any number. multiply it by 2, add 10, divide by 2, and subtract the starting number. The answer will always be 5.
PARTING SHOT: Q: What's the best way to carve wood? A: Whittle by whittle!

Tuesday Update and Sweet Heart Banquet!
THIS WEEK:
WEDNESDAY - This week our youth group will be talking about Love, Sex, and Dating! Come for a night of fun, laughs, and some awesome advice! 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.
SWEETHEART BANQUET
If you are going to CHIC or to RWANDA, you need to come help serve at the SweetHeart Banquet this Friday night! The banquet is a huge fundraiser, and will help pay for your trips! Be at church at 4:30, wearing a white shirt and black pants or a black skirt. Pizza dinner will be provided!
G.A.R.! (Give a Rip!)
There is still time to sign up for GAR! Talk to Heather or Mike is you are interested. Sign up forms are at Harbor Cov!
FORGETTABLE FACT: The faster a kangaroo hops, the less energy it burns!

Monday Update 1/9/12
THIS WEEK:
WEDNESDAY - When Nature Calls! - Come to youth group this week to hear one of Mike's funky nature/faith stories! 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the Worship Center
SUNDAY - If you are NOT going to Beach Freeze, we will still have Sunday School for you this Sunday starting at 9:59 a.m. upstairs.
BEACH FREEZE 2012
It's NOT TOO LATE to sign up! However, we are trying to get our final numbers for the trip, so if you still want to come, turn in your forms and money A.S.A.P.!
What you should bring: Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow, Bible, warm clothes, spending money for shopping in Ocean Shores and two meals on the road, toiletries, towel, swimsuit (girls one-piece, guys no speedos), journal, friends, camera, and a positive attitude!
What you should NOT bring: cell phones (you won't have service out there anyway), cd players, i pods, weapons, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, pets, expensive personal items.
When we're leaving: Be at church between 2:30-3:00 p.m. on Friday!
When we're coming home: We'll be home around 3:00 on Monday, Jan 16.

Wednesday - Regular Wednesday Night youth group kicks off 2012 with a 60's Themed Night! Come this week dressed in your best flower power, bell bottoms, head bands, british/beatles apparel! 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday - 9:59 starts up again this Sunday! Meets at 9:59 a.m. upstairs!

FORGETTABLE FACT: Pretzels were invented by an Italian monk who used the treats as a bribe to get kids to memorize scripture. In fact, the criss-crossed bits are supposed to represent the folded arms of pious children in prayer.
PARTING SHOT: A man didn't like his haircut, but it started to grow on him.
